Interactive Reality Fishing Workstation

Classes featuring this environment provide multiple workstations, each with its own real working SONAR/GPS unit.  Each workstation is limited to a maximum of two people.  Attendees review actual fishing recordings and relive actual fishing trips through their workstation unit.  As they make modifications and setting changes, they see their input immediately affect the recording just as it would if they were actually in the boat.  Keystrokes are guided by expert instructors, while a projection screen simultaneously displays the action.  This allows attendees at each station to compare their unit’s screen image to the instructor’s projected image at any time to verify they are getting the desired results.

This approach is far superior to typical “learn by watching” seminars and simulator images.  This is “learn by doing”.  Here, as attendees operate a real unit and instantly see how a ‘real world’ image changes with their settings, they gain not only the knowledge of what it will actually look like on the water, they also gain confidence in their ability to know what adjustments to make and how to make them.  Once attendees actually do it, they more easily relate to and recall the techniques for later use with their personal unit.  It is the closest thing to being on the water, without ever launching the boat!
